During the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to continuing efforts with educational sponsorship, eye operations and dispensary with appropriate safety precautions, we have supported the emergency response specifically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Equipment from USA distributed to hospitals in multiple states<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n ASR has received and completed distribution of a consignment of emergency COVID-19 relief supplies donated free of cost by Kent Hospital, Rhode Island USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The supplies, much needed to prepare hospitals for a third wave of the pandemic in India, were distributed free of cost by ASR to hospitals in three states. They include invasive and non-invasive ventilators (totalling more than 450), their accessories, and many other machines and consumables required for patients with COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ASR\u2019s President Dr Inder Pal Singh would like to thank Dr Jinen Thakkar of Kent Hospital for coordinating the donation, and all those providing voluntary support in the massive task of distribution, including Ms Gurpreet Talwar and Mr Praveen Kumar of Iera Living; Mr Manik Sachdeva of Seair Logistics; Mr Anoop Nautiyal of Social Development for Communities Foundation; Ms Kriti Pradhan of AIF Foundation; Mr Sahil Sehrawat, Mr Manoj & Ms Poonam of JDM Cargo Planners; Dr Mona Shah of IMAI Alliance; Ms Pooja Trikha of R Mehra & Associates; Mr Dhamanjit Singh & Dr Bhagteshwar Singh of ASR; and Mr Ravneet Singh Khurana & others at the Government of Punjab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Support of COVID wards in hospitals in Amritsar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In April and May 2021, during India’s challenging second wave of the pandemic, ASR worked with hospital administrators and dietitians to provide food, medicines and PPE for over 300 patients and health professionals in the COVID wards of Guru Nanak Dev & Guru Ram Dass Hospitals in Amritsar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
