ASR sponsors needy young people through higher education. Many cannot afford to go to college or university due to poverty, which is something ASR is committed to change.
The sponsorship is in the form of a grant, without the need for repayment, but is given with the hope that the sponsored young person will help others when successful, as ASR has helped them.
One student has completed his MCA degree, which was partly funded by ASR, and is now working in Amritsar. One boy from Central Khalsa Orphanage received full funding for his law (LLB) degree. Another received fee grants for his degree in engineering in Delhi, and a girl in Amritsar had her Master of Commerce degree funded by ASR.
Others are receiving funding, and applications are received frequently. If you would like to apply or nominate someone for this, please contact us.
